Presentatie driving prototype drivetrain

Category: Nieuwsberichten

Over the past few years you will have become familiar with developments in the area of electric transport through various channels. But how sustainable is electrically-powered driving really? What is the distance that a car can cover in normal daily driving on one fully charged battery? What design choices have to be made in the development of an electric vehicle?

TU/e has opted to develop a lightweight, state-of-the-art electric vehicle, a process that has generated plenty of knowledge and experience as well as a vehicle that offers a lot of research value for the future.

On Wednesday 6 April, 2011 we would like to present this vehicle and share with you the benefits, challenges and experiences of electric transport. The session will be held in the W-Hoog building at the TU/e campus. The program is as follows:

15:00 Welcome with coffee and tea outside the W-Hoog lecture room

15:15 Presentations in the W-Hoog lecture room

  • En route to electric mobility, Ruud Koornstra (core member Formule E-team)
  • Developing an electric vehicle, Igo Besselink (assistant professor at TU/e)
  • Realizing an electric vehicle in practice, Paul van Oorschot (researcher at TU/e)

16.30 Visit to the electric research vehicle in front of building W-Hoog

17:00 Closing drinks

You can register for this session by completing this registration form. You will then receive mail confirmation along with directions and a map of the campus. If more than one person is attending, additional people can be registered on the same registration form.
